Fighting the affordability crisis on behalf of the working men and women in her district will continue to be a high priority.

Carrie has successfully passed 85 bills through the New York State Assembly, 65 of which have been signed into law, making her one of the most productive members of the Legislature. From expanding Summer Reading programs in our libraries and making sure that utility deposits and refunds from energy service companies are returned to consumers, to sponsoring bipartisan laws that improve the quality of healthcare in New York, foster the expansion of NY fiber and textile industries (“Farm to Fashion”), reduce costs for small businesses, give students a voice on school boards and support veterans and active duty military service members, her leadership has delivered real solutions for families, schools, and small businesses across the 113th District.

Since 2015, Assemblywoman Carrie Woerner has focused on delivering practical solutions that strengthen local economies, support schools and libraries, protect agriculture and open space, and invest in workforce development. Known for her hard work with both parties, she brings real-world business experience to Albany and focuses on legislation that helps communities grow, preserves what makes our region unique, and ensures state government works better for taxpayers.

About Carrie

Carrie Woerner has represented the 113th Assembly District since 2015, bringing real-world business
experience and a practical approach to public service. A resident of the Village of Round Lake with 30 years of experience in the software industry managing businesses, projects, and people in companies large and small, Carrie understands the challenges facing local employers, families, and communities. In the Assembly, she is known for working across party lines to pass legislation that supports agriculture and small businesses, promotes the development of a local workforce, protects open space, and invests in local economies. Her focus is simple: thoughtful, effective government that delivers results for the people she serves.
